I have naturally straight hair that is very thick and frizzy.

I want to straighten it but don't want to ruin my hair.

Yes I strighten my hair. about 2-5X a week. It really depends if I want to.

same prob here. And i do straighten my hair when i have to go out and stuff. i use a straightening iron.

even though you have straight hair you should straighten it a bit, not a lot. Here's what you do. You come out of the shower, towel dry your hair, and put defrizz cream in it. Then you spray a anti-damaging heat spray onto your hair (you can buy it anywhere use Aussie or VO5). When it dries, then straighten it a LITTLE BIT to get some more of the frizziness out. Don't spend more than 30 minutes on your hair since it's already straight.

i straighten it once every two weeks, but thats because my hair gets damaged really easily (its fine) and its curly.

but you dont need to seperate it into sections or anythingsince its naturally straight (at least i wouldent)

just brush your hair out and use the straightner to flat iron peices.

also use heat protection.

just dont apply too much heat to your hair or you'll get static.

Yes I do and I do it almost everyday. I recommend to get a heat straightening cream to put in your hair before you blow dry it. It locks in moisture and protects your hair from the heat. It also gives your hair and shiny and sleek look.

I straighten it once a week and touch it up every other day. It won't ruin your hair, not if you do it once, but you should try some sort of smoothing serum before you resort to heat products.

remember- not matter what hair type you have- curly,thick,wavy,relaxed- too much heat can damage your hair

only on special events..cuz it damages your hair...too much heat isnt good...my cuzin got permanent hair straighting and her hair just kept falling out in clumps...now she barely has anyhair.
