Should I straighten my permed hair?

I got a perm in August and its held up pretty well, it's loosened up of course. Tomorrow I really feel the urge to either straighten it or make waves in it by twisting the straightener.

I've been putting a deep conditioner in it too every time I wash it, is this good for it? It has made it less dry.

So, should I straighten my hair, or will the curl fall out??

Please help! lol

Should I straighten my permed hair?

When you get your hair permed, the chemicals change the make-up of your hair to the shape of the curling rods. The neutrilizer makes it go back to the make-up of hair, but just curly. It is a CHEMICAL change. When you straighten your hair with heat, it is just a physical change, it will go back curly when you shampoo (wet) it. A straightener with chemicals should be performed by a pro and you will lose your curl. If you are gonna straighten it with heat, be sure to put a straightening spray on it first to preserve the integrity of your hair. Also try a smoothing spray after you are done to keep it from getting frizzy. I wouldn't recommend straightening it on a humid or rainy day.

Should I straighten my permed hair?

wut was the point of perming it if you will just straigten it?

I would not recommend it, it will just make it poofy and frizzy, I know, i've seen it, i'm a hairstylist. I have seen people get perms then comeback a week or 2 later because they straightened it and ruined it. THen they want me to fix it for them. NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!

you should chemically straighten your hair at a salon. it will lose the curls though
