Do you straighten your hair all the time?

I have naturally thick n' curly hair. I love it when I have the curls undercontrol, it just looks good, it suits me.

But I straighten it also, maybe once or twice a week at teh most.

Does this make curls more hard to control, even after a shower?

second im going to tell you about my hair. i have medium lenght hair and kinda thin and wavy curl. i used to straighten it everyday!! but then i started to get kind of bald!! sort of becasue i dont have alot of hair. so now i do it whenever i go out like 2 or 3 times a week a t the most r lest sometimes.

now you have thick hair so it shouldnt be a problem , but a lot of heat damages your hair, loosing its original color and shine.

if you do it a lot it doesnt make your hair more rebel and become more curliour.

just dont do it every day!! youll damage your hair really bad!

i dont use flat iron but the blow drier.

I try to, but I have 2 1/2 kids so it's hard too. I have a lot of coarse thick wavy hair. Nomally if I straighten my hair alot, it starts to stay straight for a while even after a washing.

I have naturally curly hair and I straighten it every day because I don't like curly hair anymore. I've been straightening it every day for more than 10 years and it doesn't make the curls more uncontrolable or anything. I also have 2 kids, but after straightening it for so many years I've gotten really good at it!! :)

my friends have outta control curly hair and they straighten it everyday so it pretty much doesnt matter if they straighten it or not itll always be the same (until after they straighten it itll be straight!)

my hair is naturally straight and never frizzes. (lucky me!) my friends totally envy me for that lol.

I also have thick but curly hair, and sometimes I do straighten them. I like to use the MaxiGlide straightener. With that, I just have to use it once a week and I'm good, depending on the weather. In the summertime, I don't bother with straightening my hair. I either pull my hair back in a ponytail or let it as it is.

My hair is medium to thick and is naturally curly, most of the time i straighten it because during school when i am bored i play with it a lot and when its curly and i play with it too much it gets frizzy. When you straighten your hair it isn't harder to control your curls, actually it makes the curls tighter, its like when you hold a spring straight then let it go it goes smaller then it normally would, then goes back to normal length, thats kinda how hair works. You striaghten it, then take a shower, and it becomes a tighter curl (like the spring would go tighter than normal) and then when you take another shower without straightening agian in between...its goes back to normal curls (like the spring goes tighter when you let go then goes to normal length)

i only straighten my hair once a week and it stays straight untill i have a hair wash. i always make sure that i use heat defence spray so that my hair doesnt get damaged. My natural hair is curly/wavy

My stylist and my hairdresser have said that straightening is bad, however, it does make the hair less curly over time. If you want to not damage it as much, use a product that helps fix damage or works well with heat; like Thermasilk.

my hair is naturally really thick so i don't straighten it that much. it takes to long and doesn't even look like i did any thing. at the most once a week since its already i straight. i only use the straightener cause it gets the frizz out. but im not sure if straightening it makes it harder to deal with

my hair is naturally straight, but it has a lotta body so it kinda waves so i straigten it quite often.

but if ur hair is naturally curly, ur hair goes bak and forth from curly to straight and its just workin hard figuring out what to do. like for graduation i had my hair REEEEALLY curly....but wen i went to straighten it the nxt day it just wouldnt do it! so i took another shower and made sure i brushed it really straight b4 i straightend it again.

just use a smoothing, anti-frizz serum wen you wear ur hair curly and it should be kept under control.
