if you are using a cheap flat iron, or a metal flat iron this will destroy your hair. trust me and spend the money for a chi flat iron or the "hardcore" by tigi. and use a flat iron spray like "flat iron shine spray" by tigi. its part of their s factor line. this is what i use on my hair for frizz. the cheap flat irons do not get hot enough to do anything to your hair. the flat irons usually run around eighty dollars. but they are well worth it and you will be so happy in the end. your hair will be super straight and super shiny. trust me this will work.

My best advice would be don't. The perm is damaging enough, straightening as well will only dry it out even more until it starts to break. Then it will be super frizzy and just not fun at all.

You just need to use a product that straightens and controls frizz at the same time and put that in your hair first. I recommend align straightening balm by Redken.
