Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

go to hair stylists and the put a chemical in your hair that relaxes your hair and the pull it straight with the chemical in your ahir it will me it straight but if you have curly hair and you donot want your straight hair any more you cannot make it curly again you either have to grow your hair out or perm it or shave it and let it grow back. I hope this helped

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

there is no true permanent way to straighten hair. you can get a perm on any sort of hair. if u get a perm on straight hair u can make ur hair curly. or on curly hair make it straight. but this only lasts until your hair fully grows out. there are many diffirent types of perms, small curls, waves, straight...whatever. they carry a lot of good at home kits at sally's beauty supply. i have naturally straight hair...n sometimes i wish my hair was curly! but sometimes i think i am just happy with what i got. good luck.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Yes. My cousin has beautiful curly hair, which she hates, and she perms it straight. Once it is permed, it is straight forever, but you have to keep perming the roots, which will, of course, grow curly. Also, make sure you go to a very good salon since the process can be highly damaging. And you'll need a once a week treatment like kerastase for sure.

only for a short period. you can have your hair straightened and it will last a month at the most. there are products such a shampoos that will straighten hair. plus you can hav it done by a hair dresser.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Not "permanently" but you could go for some sort of perm. I wouldn't do it only because a friend of mine got it done and her hair was straight but very damaged.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Yes. It's called chemically relaxed. There are several ways to do this process, however, all ways included using chemicals that are highly alkaline and have a pH of 9 or higher!! This is HIGHLY damaging to the hair. The best thing would be to use lots of heat protection sprays and either blow out your hair or flat iron.

You can chemically straighten your hair. The process and the associated treatments and cut, will take from 2 hours for short hair to about 5 hours for really long hair. A treatment is always necessary to restore moisture and sheen, and a cut is needed to remove dry ends and because a cut that works on curly hair never works on straight. The procedure, in short terms, basically involves putting a perm like conditioning solution on the hair and combing through root to end. You will want to make an appointment with your local stylist for best results. Home procedure is not recomended, Revlon, PHYTO,and Redkin are all good brands.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

not permanently, but you can buy kits to take the curl out, just like a perm, but reversed. But if your hair is naturally curly, it will grow back in curly. If you are just trying to straighten a perm, ask your stylist. I used a kit by Matrix to straighten mine. It worked really well.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Ha, this is actually a loaded question because it would actually depend on what you meant by 'permanently'. Since a chemical process only lasts until you are uncomfortable with your regrowth, IE: straight roots growing back in and perm on your ends still, or curly roots coming in after a 'relaxer' (or chemical straightener), the answer is both YES and NO. Yes, it will be permanently straight for a period depending on how fast your hair grows, and how often your own stylist reccommends your getting your relaxer retouched. Regrowth which would be your normal hair texture growing back in, needs to then be straightened...I believe the time period is 6-8 weeks depending on like I said your hairstylist and how fast your hair grows. But NO, you cannot completely straighten your hair 'forever'. However certain bodily changes such as puberty, pregnancy, menopause and certain systemic illnesses such as cancer, can cause your hair to change quite dramatically. So can a hair cut. If your hair has been long, and thick, straight and heavy all your life, cut it shorter, add some layers, and you may find out you have lots of curl in there. Reason? You remove the weight from the hair and the curl bounces up. Same holds true for curly hair. Want to tame it down, let it grow a bit. Hope this helps.

No way to permanently straighten your hair but an easy way is to buy the vidal sassoon blowdryer, it has attachable brushes that go with it and you blow dry your hair and straighten at the same time no hassle at all and you have to dry your hair anyway...i've been using it for years

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

you ever heard of Magic Straight? it is a chemical straightening of the hair.

here's a good website with someone's actual experience with Magic Straight: http://home.comcast.net/~gaelen/yuko.htm

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Nothing is permanent! It grows out, and looks ugly! I got it done to my curls and regret it. When it grows the roots were curly while the rest of my head was straight/wavy. If your hair grows fast i don't recommend you do it. You'll have to put a relaxer in your hair quite often and if damages your hair so bad! Embrace ur curly locks. Try hair products like bumble to bumble that are made specially for us curly folk. If not try juss get ur hair blown out once in a while for a straight look.

Is there a way to "permanently" straighten hair?

Yes- go to your local salon and ask for a"chemical straightner"

or they may call it a relaxer- depending on your hair type and how curly it is and what other chemical work youve done to your hair in the past-your results will vary depending on these things- and you will still have to return every several weeks to "touch up" the regrowth area (your hair will still grow curly out of your scalp)
