No, you shouldn't. If you straighten your hair, your hair won't hold a curl. I know this from experience. I didn't want frizzy hair, so I straightened it first, and when I tried to curl it, it wouldn't work. Then, I tried it again and just curled it, and the curl held really well, and it wasn't frizzy.
So no, don't straighten before. It won't work, and it damages your hair twice as much.
