My hair is very thick and wavy and curly. I want to get it chemically straightened. Should I? Will it work?

use a hair straightener, its your best bet.

Just put your hair In several hairbows. and just do small sections at a time.

Try a relaxer at the salon. And also ask for a gloss treatment to give it that extra umph!!!

Don't. I have thick curly hair and after a few chemical straighteners, my hair broke off horribly. Straightening irons work, of course they aren't permanent. It's the only thing that ever straightened my hair.

it will most likley work ... but it also kills your hair!! maybe you should get it thinned out and straighten it your self that way you can use heat protection and your hair will still be and look good and healthy!! :)

Don't be a fool. Sensible women love curly hair. Chemical straightening is just another way for underemployed beauticians and the "beauty" industry to get your money. Keep your money to invest in something much more worthwhile, and keep your good natural looks.

Let your hair keep its curls the way G-d intended. Thick wavy and curly.

G-d help us. How on earth did you ever get such an idea? Don't you have any natural self-esteem? You're probably perfectly fine the way you are. Don't go wasting good money.

Save it toward a vacation in the Caribbean or on the French Riviera, where you will learn that hair such as yours should NOT be ruined by chemical straightening (I suppress a shudder at the horror of such a thought!!!)

I highly reccomend using a hair straightener. Chemically straightening your hair will ruin your into dry frizzy damaged hair.
