well i have really thick curly hair and my mom wanted to straighten my hair for the upcoming valentine dance. if i get home at 3 and she gets home at 5 and the dance starts at 6, is an hour enough time for her to straighten my hair?

I have REALLY long thick curly hair and it only takes me about 30 minutes to straighten it with a flat iron. It would probably be even faster if someone else did it for me. Still, just make sure you're completely ready when she gets home so you can just do your hair and leave.

I wash and blowdry my hair first...then put shine serum(think frizz-ease,bio-silk,regis,ect...) in it to protect it from flat iron. then i use my chi-iron. roughly it take 1 1/2 - 2 hours... good luck!!! i have medium thick curly hair, like ringlet curly not wavy, i hate how people say i hate curly hair! and they have wavy hair, ugh, anyways i recommend layers because since your hair is curly layers would make the puffiness not so puffy, if you no wat i mean. separate hair so only a little hair is in your hands and put rest in a clip on top of head apply ceramic straightener mist and comb, it will look puffy at first,then smooth iron over it. repeat till smooth and perfect. repeat for every section of hair. i have A CHI straightener, 80$ it takes me 30 minutes to straighten my hair, conair is stupid, works bad, it will take you 1hr if you have a cheap one, go to Costco, they have good ones, if there is a hair place by your house walk there after school, i don't have that privilege were i live, lucky others. i dont have dances at my school, lucky you! a valentine day dance, ugh so lucky, so cool i bet you look beautiful just the way you are! were both curle Q's, love ya, bb

since getting there takes 5 mins, getting makeup done takes 5, getting out the door takes 5, you'd be cutting it close ( hair proably about 30-40 mins) but i think you could make it.
