I straighten my hair with a Maxius Maxi glide hair straightener and it gets it straight but When I go out side it gets all poofy and I hate it. What can I do? -Thanks-

i straighten my hair and use to have the same problem, and thats becuase of the humidity outside, you have to use some type of oil to put int your hair, but don't put alot! then after you straighten it spray on this thing called simply straight buy marc anthony ( it says to put it on before but that doesn't help so i put it on after i straighten!)

Sounds like the humidity's getting to it. You'll need to use some product as well as straightening it.

Try a straightening serum (Pantene Pro-V makes a great one) before your start straightening, or seek out a shampoo and conditioner that's specifically for use with straighteners.

Is it possible that it Rained there?If so,Its due to the humidity there.Did you try a Hair Spray called "Pump It Up"?If not,try it.Dont get the one thats a gold color through the bottle.Get the White Bottle,because it lasts longer.Ive had hair clients say that the White Bottle of Pump It Up lasts longer and lets the hair breath.The Gold color sufficates the hair making it unable to breath,and leaving it to break off when you wash it out in the shower.

The key is to make sure you get a good flat iron, but also get a good spray that is designed for this but the main product that will keep your hair from frizzing is called "OIL SHEEN" its by pantene and the can is like a copper color its at most stores. Spray your hair after your done straightening it and you will love it. Im not black.

before you straighten, use straightener cream. Then when your done straightening, apply a nickel sized drop of Shine Serum. Then move your hair around by shaking your head and spray an Extra Hold Hair Spray(use Dove) and then Let the hair spray cool off alittle. Then Brush it one more time and then your set.

Tip: Carry a small bottle of hair spray around in your purse for touch ups.

try by blowing hair up side down and hold brush and blowdryer right to the hair on high heat, also use sun silk frizz controll shampoo and conditioner, and fallow through with the defrizz lotion

Well right now you canmake sure you straighten your hair with individual layers. So if you tie your hair like you are putting it in a little pony tail and just slowly keep straightening those layers it should work.

Also, maybe it is time you get a straightener that has a hotter temperature. Yes they are expensive but you can find really nice ones that will last long and even have warranties on them.

Finally, there are many anti poof products you can use. Such as there is a cheap $7 product that you can find at any grocery store, walmart, or target. That is called FRIZZ-EASE by JOHN FRIEDA there are many different types for your hair type.

That should do it. Even then you could use a tad bit of hair spray when your finish just wave it over your overall head.

Get it chemically straightened.....it works, nad you dont evan have to straighten it in the mornings!!
