My hair is naturally curly so whenever im finished washing and drying it its so thick and frizzy I have to straighten it!I want to have really long hair like I had when I was younger.It is quite long now but I want it longer but I am afraid it isnt going to grow because of the amount of times I straighten it?!(",)

When you straighten your air you use extremely high tempetres to do so. This takes all the moisture out of your hair, leaving it dry and brittle (easy to break). The best thing is to straighten every second or third day, use ceramic straighteners, and use pre-straighten salon treatments.

Try to blow dry your hair strait in between straightening!

My daughter who also has curly hair has made the huge mistake of straightening her hair every day. She has lost so much hair do to breakage and basically melting her hair. Theses straighteners get way too hot for the hair shaft to handle, Plus it pulls on the hair while it straightens. Curly hair is beautiful....bald is not. Be very careful if you use this tool to much, the damage can be really awful. Good Luck

I wouldn't staighten it everyday. Use a product called "Turn Up the Heat" . It helps protect the hair from the heat of the straightener. Also keep it on a lower setting.

As for the straightening thing daily, its not really good for your hair, but it should still grow out fine. Try using less heat, and a protector or leave in conditioner to help your hair stay healthy and to avoid excessive dryness and breakage.
