Whats the right way to straighten your hair?

My hair is slightly wavy. When i use falt iron it stays straight for a while and then again it starts getting wavy. But when i straighten it in salon, it stays sleek straight unless i wash my hair. How should i straighten my hair to get a long term reslt?

products are your best friend! use got 2 b sleek gel on your hair when it is wet (fairly liberal amounts, just put it on your hands and run your fingers through your hair to work it in). then blow dry, then straighten with an iron. after, use a shine spray to make it non frizzy and shiney. (any of them are ok, i use $4 hanson super shine). the gel will make it hold, and you can touch up with the shine spray for more daily maintenance.

Straightening the hair may cause hair fall. For guidance refer the site below.

Before straightnening your hair, you should use a straightening creme. There's products like sleek and shine by garnier, anc chi which is probably the most expensive, but the best. Not only does it hold on longer through the day, but it gives your hair a nice sleekness and shine.

Good luck!

The best thing that I could tell you is to use a straightening cream or product before you straighten your hair that way it helps hold the straight sleek shiney look. ;)

to straighten your hair with long term results you need to use special hair straightening products. First apply a hair straightening serum before blowdrying. Before using a flat iron apply a hair protector. Then when you're done smooth it in place with a smoothing balm.

I use mark. Salon Straight products-- it's a line made specifically for straight styles and it works really good! They also have a Curl Goddess hair line maybe you could use that for days when you want to wear your hair wavy. http://cassie4mark.cpm

hope this helps!

I use Herbal Essences Seriously Straight shampoo and conditioner. Then I apply straightening cream (not gel...gel seems to leave hair sticky) to the wet hair and separate my hair in four sections. I then blow dry each section with a flat paddle brush and finish my hair by flat ironing.

I also have a salon quality blow dryer (it blows harder and gets hotter than regular blow dryers and so there is less drying time). You can find them online or at Sally's Beauty Supply stores.

I always wash my hair immediately after straightening my hair so my hair isnt sleek dead straight, plastered to my face. After washing i blow dry to maintain the straightness (doesn't curl to the shape of your neck for example) and it'll look a lot more natural. Try it!!
