How do you straighten your hair so it's not frizzy?

Usually I keep my curls in, but sometimes I want to straighten it. It comes out frizzy though. I know girls with similar hair who can straighten it and not have it frizzy. How?

Try using an anti friz hair product on it before, and probably after you straighten it as well. That should do the trick.

How do you straighten your hair so it's not frizzy?

Sometimes when I straighten my hair a day or two after I washed and subsequently dry it, it comes out frizzy. Though I don't have super curly hair, I use a serum (available through companies like Paul Mitchell, Joico, etc) which will help prevent frizzy-ness. I use it before and after straightening.

Good luck!

I have naturally curly hair, and this is what I do:

Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo, then condition and let the conditioner sit on it for about 4 minutes before rinsing. When you rinse, don't rinse your hair completely squeaky clean, you want a layer of condition in there still. Just a little.

Then, buy a hair straightening product and apply it to your damp hair. Don't towel dry your hair either, just gently squeeze the towel over it a few times. Any straightening product works by the way, the rest is gimmick.

Blow dry your hair piece by piece as straight as you can get it.

Then, use your hair straightener. Before running it over your strands, apply a very small amount of straightener product in the strands, then straighten. When you are done, use a hair spray that protects against humidity. If you want a free flow hair look, just mist it all over with the hair spray. This will prevent moisture from trying to get back into the hair and making it frizz up. Good luck!

There are gel like substances you can get a salons that ease the frizz. Just go in and ask the hairdressers they will know what you're talking about. My sister's hair isn't curly or straight it's in between and is just plain frizzy. She uses it and loves it. Ceramic straightening irons are supposed to be really good if that's not what you're already using. Although my hair is straighter than straight so I can't personally vouch for either method. They're just what I've heard about.

I straighten my hair very often, and it usually frizzes after a day or a night of sleep. I prefer Garnier Fructis only because it smells like fresh fruit, but if I were you I'd try one of the following lines:

*Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine Anti-Frizz

*John Frieda Frizz Ease

*Herbal Essence's None of Your Frizziness

They're all supposed to work great, so choose whatever you like :)
