How can I straighten my hair?

Right now my hair is about 4" all over. I am considering letting it grow out, but the curls drive me insane and they are really beginning to show up in earnest lately. I tried keeping it straight a few years ago but eventually gave up and cut it. If I can't find a more reliable way to get it straightened out pretty soon I'm gonna cut it again. What types of things can I use?

If you want your hair permanently straightened, you could get a relaxing perm.

You'd have to go to a stylist, and probably pretty frequently for awhile, but it may be worth it in the end. A relaxing perm is the same thing as a curling perm, except you wouldn't have the curlers put in your hair. The stylist would just mix the chemicals and put them in your hair, combing it with a fine-toothed comb as they go in order to straighten it. The odor is pretty intense for a few days, but as I said, it may be worth it so you don't have to spend time every day straightening your hair.

Use a round brush when blow drying it. You want the brush big enough not to create curls but to straighten it but don't get it too big, your hair has to fit around it once.

Then use a straightening iron ... about a 1 inch is good.

Also, use a shampoo and conditioner to straighten it ... there are LOTS of different brands.

well i work for a hair salon. you can use a flat iron to straighten it. you can buy them at any store like cvs, wallgreens or the mall. any hair salon will sell them as well. you can also get your hair relaxed at a hair salon. they put a treatment in your hair to make it straight. if it is super curly i suggest the flat iron. the maxie glide is the best on eon the market. i use it every day and i have curly hair
