just read your question and thought that you should know, hair wont melt, but if you have very bleached blonde hair like mine you are damaging it further if you straighten it. bleaching your hair makes it substantially weaker and straightening it will cause it to break more. my best advice is to use good shampoos and conditioners(i use catwalk tigi from the salon-its expensive but does wonders to your bleached hair) and dont straighten it everyday. a great way to get out of straightening your hair is to plait it and have it wavy or put it in a bun and have cute grips or a nice alice band to make it look nice.

Start the straightening process in the shower! I have wavy, unruley hair... and I tried Sunsilk's Straighten-Up and loved it! It smooths hair and makes it wayyy easier to straighten. When my hair is damp I apply just John Frieda's Anti-Frizz serum and L'oreal's Hot!Straight straightening cream. I try to blow dry it as straight as I can, then smooth out any kinks with my flat iron. (Make sure flat iron is on hottest temperature) To make sure I get ALL the waviness out, I part my hair...straightening the bottom part (right about my ears, all around my head) frist, then I clip/tie that part back while I straighten the top parts. Then if you need to shake it out and see what needs more straightening.

Well, you have many options. You could use a straightening shampoo like, herbal essences dangerously straight. A Pre-straightening cream, like Garnier sleek and shine, Heat protection spray, like TRESemme. i kno exactly what u are talking about cuz my hair is naturally curly and it does the exact same thing. straightening serum and stuff like that really dont do much for my hair so i really dont use it. instead, when its humid outside, i keep my hair wrapped and tied up with a bandana or something like that until i get from outside. then i unwrap it and it looks neat and straight, not curly and puffy.

I think you should focus on liking your hair curly! Because straightening your hair must put awful strain on it and im not surprised its frizzy! You need to give it a break! When its wet run some gel through it and dry it till its got 50% moisture still in it. Then leave it naturaly! If its still a bit frizzy, get some tongs and curl it to make your hair seem more curls than just frizzy strands.

I really advise you against it! Its expensive and once your curly/frizzy roots come through you will have to re perminant straighten it again! Its not worth the money or hassle!

Speaking out of experience, there is no such thing as a "healthy" way to straighten hair and those chemical methods REALLY f*** up your hair completly, so DON'T DO IT. Alot of people I know, including me, did that %26amp; our hair kept falling %26amp; it only fixed the frizziness And we STILL needed to straighten it out with a blowdryer to get the look we wanted, so don't expect to just do it %26amp; ur hair would magically be silky soft.

Though, you can apply hair masks that help keep your hair naturally soft %26amp; about the flat iron, either give your hair an oil treatment weekly to balance out the damage, Or you can switch to a blowdryer %26amp; use a heat protection spray.

when my hair is wet I dry it with a round brush, that should help control any friz. I then use Matrix smoothing system spray. I then split my hair into four sections. Crazy I know but for me it works.

The first section is the lower back left, 2nd the lower back right, the 3rd the top left, and the 4th the top right. As I go section by section I split that section into other little sections. Spray the Matrix spray to every section that is split, that way you get the spray all over your head.

Run the straightner over the hair sections several times, even try slowing down the motions and letting it sit for a while.

I mentioned one of those because yeah, heat damages your hair, but you can get a heat protection cream or serum and put it in your hair while it's still wet, then straighten it with that certain kind of flat iron. Hi it will make it thinner but it wont be in a good way as it will make your hair really dry and even snap of and you will end up with your hair being all different lenghs and it will just feel and look horrid, When I first started using hair straightners not the GHD ones but another brand make, my hair was actually snapping to the point it was so thin I had no hair underneath, I also have reall thick hair but you wouldnt think I have on how little hair I had.

If you use ghds you will find your hair to become smoother and look less thick anyways and these dont damage hair as much and just use a heat protection spray and then your hair will be healthy and really smooth and it will feel alot different too,

I've chemically straightened my hair three times! It lasts about a year, but even after it wears away, your hair remains pretty straight. I had bushy, untame hair before the process, and now it's like I've always been straight-haired!

The Los Angeles area has A LOT of places you can get your hair done this way. It's called Japanese hair straightening, or "magic straight," and Koreatown is your best bet. But the prices are wayyy high over there, around $200-$300! I got mine done in Lakewood, CA for about $150. Be sure to ask how much it is before getting it done, because that's not cheap!

Of course, the outcome is so great! You'll have to wait two days until you can wash your hair, clip your hair, tie your hair...but it's worth it! It is definitely NOT a waste of money. And your hair will not fall out, but it will cause a bit of damage. You might notice more split ends than usual, but you can easily trim those off.
